Sh. Ashok Goel Devraha, son of Late Sh. Roshan Lal Goel and Smt. Parvati Devi, comes from a well to do illustrious business family hailing from Bhiwani in Haryana. He has been a dedicated and a talented person throughout his school and college years, and enjoyed tremendous popularity amongst his friends, teaching staff and senior colleagues. Because of his dedication and sincerity he became a Chartered Accountant at a young age of 22 years.

Shri Ashok Goel is a B.Com graduate, Chartered Accountant with clean credentials. He is a versatile grassroot-level social worker; a reformer who is always willing to step forward to help people. He joined the former Union Minister Shri Vijay Goel’s agitation against social evils like lottery and since then has been fighting against issues concerning Delhi citizens.

POLITICAL BEGINNING:-
But not satisfied and with hunger in the belly, he took a decision and joined the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in the year 1998; In the NDA government led by Sh. Atal Behari Vajpayee, Ashok Goel, in the year 2003-04, also served as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers with MoS Chemicals & Fertilizers (C &F). He also was made a member of the CA Cell of the BJP from the year 2003, and was In charge of the Delhi and the Haryana CA Cell. Ashok Goel Devraha, a person with good political credentials, an honest man with a beaming and a smiling face is familiar in all the political circles of Delhi. A self-motivated person who takes the initiative in helping both the young and old. His commitment and dedication were noticed by the seniors in the BJP and in the year 2005, he was made the National Co-Convener of the Investor Cell.

He continued working with all his energy and enthusiasm in the Investor Cell of the party from 2005-2012 for a good seven years. More success was to follow and he was made the Treasurer of the Delhi Pradesh BJP in May 2013; and in the same year made a debut in electoral politics. He contested for the MLA seat from Model Town in North Delhi in December 2013, and started a journey in the rough and tough world of politics. Like a true party-man, and a staunch karya-karta he continued working endlessly for the welfare and victory of the party.

Under the Presidentship of Ashok Goel Devraha, the Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee, NSP Pitampura conducts an annual 10-day program during the auspicious time of the Navaratras. The Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee at NSP Pitampura, is considered amongst the top 10 most active Ramlila Committees organized across the sprawling megapolis of Delhi, and the roles are enacted by popular actors! The Ramlila held here is eagerly awaited with bated breath and people of all age groups participate in it with great religious fervor and enthusiasm. The functions organized are witnessed by lakhs of devotees during the 10 day affair. During the 10 days of Ramlila, charity takes over and the needy and downtrodden are attended to and daily items of essential use are distributed amongst them. The Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee does the work of Lord Ram and undertakes different social initiatives like: Shaheed ko Samman; the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Swach Bharat Abhiyan. Debate competitions are held among school children; drawing competition amongst children of different schools and various other cultural programs which are attended to by people in large numbers.

Ashok Goel, has participated in many andolans and demonstrations for the problems faced by residents of Delhi under the Lok Abhiyan (NGO), along with Vijay Goel, MP (Rajya Sabha). Ashok Goel, along with him, took the initiative in solving the problems of the Jhuggi-Jhopri dwellers and leading rallies for the residents of unauthorized colonies; regularly holding senior citizen choupals in the parks; also taking part in the Bijli-Pani andolan; and taking up the cause of the common man facing ration card problems; attending to the problems of students they face during admissions in the Delhi university and various other concerns plaguing the common man like safety to life and the law and order issues.


As the President of Akhil Bharatiya Vaish Samaj - Delhi Pradesh; he espouses social causes, holding free medical and free dispensary camps for the needy and those on the margins of society amongst all the communities. Free spectacles and audible accessories are regularly distributed amongst those suffering from poor eye sight and those having difficulty in hearing. The other notable act where he distinguished himself is by organizing mass marriages for the not so well to do sections and the poor people who cannot afford to spend huge resources.
